"TEAS EXAM TEA" Part I: What is the TEAS Exam?
The TEAS exam stands for "Test of Essential Academic Skills." It is an entrance exam that is taken before applying to nursing school. There are 4 sections: Reading, Math, Science, and English
The Reading section has 48 questions, and is 58 minutes. The math section has 34 questions, and is 51 minutes . The Science section has 54 questions, and is 66 minutes, and the English section as 34 questions, and is 29 minutes (source from https://www.test-guide.com/teas-test-overview.html). The exam can be administered online or on paper (usually administered online for most institutions) A calculator IS provided for the math section.
Altogether, the test has 170 questions, however, only there is a certain amount of questions in each section that is actually scored. The test is scored out of 100 points. If the test is online, you get your score as soon as you are done. If on paper, it may take about three days to get your score. The latest version of the TEAS is the TEAS 6.
