What Were My Statistics into Nursing School?
In addition to "My Nursing Stories Series", I decided to add my exact statistics that got me into nursing school. One disclaimer I would like to state is that my school's requirements may be different from the nursing school you are applying to. I am simply just sharing my information, which may or may not apply to you. However, if you are a Georgia State University pre-nursing/exploratory student (Go Panthers!), a TEAS taker, or enrolled in a 4-year university, then my statistics may apply to you more.
Overall TEAS: *79
- Reading: 62
- Math: 84
- Science: 83
- English: 83
GPA: 3.70
- Science GPA: 3.60
Volunteer Hours: 160
-Volunteered at a children's office, did tons of community service through church and school clubs.
*If you are a TEAS taker, I DEFINITELY encourage you to at least make an 80 or better. I was put into a predicament where I literally made a 79.8 (like really!), but I also had pretty decent math and science scores. I felt that it was not necessary to retake the exam again just for the Reading section. So, I relied on my GPA and other components of my application to help me. However, I do not advise someone else to do this. I would of most likely taken the exam again to make myself more competitive if I had the time, but I was blessed to get in with what I had. Always strive to do better no matter what!
